Honour and Glory
$2 Million UAE Derby-G2 Winner HONOUR DEVIL in 2008
Sire of 24 Graded SW, 51 SW, 106 Stakes Horses
Met Mile-G1 Winner in Scintillating 1:32 4/5
By Relaunch, From the Sire Family of FAPPIANO
GRADE 1 WINNER AND CHAMPION SIRE

It takes a special horse to break his maiden – at first asking as a juvenile – at Saratoga by 10 1/2 lengths. Both on the racetrack and in the breeding shed, HONOUR AND GLORY has continued to live up to that early promise. A remarkable racehorse, HONOUR AND GLORY won or placed in no fewer than 12 stakes, 11 graded. His crowning moment was undoubtedly as a 3-year-old when he defeated older rivals in a blazing 1:32 4/5 to capture the Met Mile-G1 just three weeks after he ran in the Kentucky Derby-G1. He won four other stakes as well, including the important King’s Bishop-G2 (now a G1), in which he got seven furlongs in a stellar 1:21 3/5, and Keeneland’s Breeders’ Futurity-G2 in just his third start at 2. Placings for the versatile HONOUR AND GLORY ranged from the Breeders’ Cup Sprint-G1 at six furlongs to the Santa Anita Derby-G1 at 1 1/8 miles.

HONOUR AND GLORY could not have gotten off to a better start at stud and was named the Leading First-Crop Sire of 2000. His initial crop included CARESSING, the 2000 Eclipse Champion 2-Year-Old Filly and Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies-G1 winner, millionaire and G1 winner NAME VALUE, and other graded winners PUT IT BACK, DISCREET HERO, and KEYED ENTRY. Subsequent crops have included multiple G1 performer BATTLE WON and brilliant U.A.E. Derby-G2 winners BLUES AND ROYALS and HONOUR DEVIL (ARG).
